Frequently Asked Questions
General
-
What services do you offer?
At EmbdyHealth, we provide a wide range of services through telehealth. We provide services for muscular pains, work injuries (worker’s compensation), sports injuries, Medicare referrals (EPC’s), muscle strains, joint issues, and any other physio-related injuries you can think of.
Research shows that telehealth physiotherapy is just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. If your needs require in-person care, we’ll refer you accordingly and refund your money promptly.
-
What is telehealth physiotherapy?
For most conditions, telehealth physiotherapy works the same as in-person physiotherapy, only this time you’re at home and using your computer or phone to video call with your therapist. Your therapist will take a thorough history and then complete a number of assessments to determine what your diagnosis is. You will be then given advice, education, and treatment from your physiotherapist.
Telehealth physiotherapy has been shown to work just as well as in-person physiotherapy, however, people tend to cancel less as there is less chance that something gets in the way.
-
How much does telehealth cost and how long are the sessions?
At EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy, initial consultations last 40 minutes and are priced at $60. Follow-up consultations are 15 minutes long and cost $40. These rates are affordable because we operate online, therefore, we do not have the associated costs of running a physical practice, allowing us to pass on savings to our patients.
Booking & Appointments
-
I hurt myself at work, can I use worker's compensation insurance?
Yes you can.
The only thing we need from you before your session is your case number. Other than that, your treatment will be as it normally would for physiotherapy.
Don’t worry about payment, your insurance will have that covered for you.
-
Do I need to register before booking my first appointment?
Yes, when you book for the first time, you’ll be prompted to register and create a profile. This profile will serve as your central hub for all things EmbdyHealth. From managing appointments to uploading necessary forms, your profile makes it easy to stay organized and access important information
-
How do I book my session?
Booking your session is simple! Just click the ‘book now’ button on our website. Our booking process is entirely online, so there’s no need to make any phone calls. Once you click the button, you’ll be directed to our booking software where you can create a profile if it’s your first time booking. From there, you can easily schedule an appointment with one of our experienced physios.
Payments
-
How do I pay for my Telehealth session?
Payment for your session is easy and straightforward. Simply pay when you book your appointment. After your session, your physio will email you an invoice. If you have private health insurance, you can submit this invoice to your insurer through their app or website to claim a rebate. It’s a simple process that varies slightly depending on your insurer but is usually hassle-free.

Telehealth Issues
-
What happens if you have a technical issue?
Our initial consultations are extended to 40 minutes to accommodate any potential issues, but at EmbdyHealth, if technical glitches prevent you from finishing your session, you’ll receive an immediate refund, and we’ll schedule another time for you to complete it.
-
How do I complete my session?
At EmbdyHealth, all our sessions are conducted online through video-based telehealth sessions. Once you book your appointment, you’ll receive a couple of emails. The first email will include your consent form, and the second will contain your telehealth link. When it’s time for your appointment, simply click on the provided link. This link will take you to your session, where your physiotherapist will let you in when they’re ready, and your session will begin.
