How to Pay For My Telehealth Physio Appointment?
Welcome to EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy, where we specialise in providing physiotherapy services through the use of telehealth physio, more specifically, we focus on online video-based physio. Our approach is backed by the latest research, showing that you can achieve excellent results without the overhead costs associated with traditional physical practices. By operating remotely, we’re able to offer our services at lower costs, passing on the savings to you. Best of all, you can receive exceptional physiotherapy from the comfort of your own home!
Now, let’s figure out how to pay for your physio session. Firstly, we offer two types of appointments: “Initial Consultation – Telehealth” for new patients or new injuries, and “Follow-up – Telehealth” for returning patients with existing injuries that we have previously seen you for. It’s crucial to book the correct appointment type to ensure that your physiotherapist has enough time to conduct a thorough assessment. This also helps mitigate any potential internet connectivity issues. Rest assured, if your appointment is disrupted due to technical difficulties, you’ll receive a full refund.
Our initial consultations can be booked both online, or by phone (0491 265 859), and following your appointment you will then be instructed on how to pay by your physio. In most cases, you pay by card, however, you can also pay by bank transfer if you prefer. If you and your physio agree that you need at least another session to recover from your injury and your physio books you in again, then payment for your follow up session will be exactly the same as payment for your initial session. However, if you have had to check your schedule or something and then booked yourself in online, you will be required to pay for your follow up sessions upfront. Don’t worry, if you have to cancel more than 24hrs before your appointment you will be refunded in full.
How to Pay if I Have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Referral for 5 Physiotherapy Visits?
If you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan from your GP, you won’t need to learn how to pay right now, as you won’t pay anything for up to five visits. We understand that healthcare costs can add up, especially when additional fees are involved. Many physiotherapy clinics now charge a gap fee on top of your health fund rebate, which means you’re paying more out-of-pocket. At EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy, we’ve decided to keep things simple and affordable by not charging any extra gap fees. This way, you can get the quality care you need without worrying about unexpected costs. We’re committed to providing effective, accessible treatment that fits your budget, so you can focus on your recovery without any added stress.
When booking your first EPC appointment, if it’s your first time seeing one of our physio’s, or if it’s for an injury that you haven’t seen the physio for before choose “EPC/Medicare Initial – Telehealth.” If it’s not your first visit and you’re seeing an EmbdyHealth physio for the same issue again, select “EPC/Medicare Follow Up – Telehealth.” These appointments are government-subsidized, so there’s no upfront payment or additional charges.
If you have an EPC referral, you’ll need to upload the forms to your client portal. Your physiotherapist will input the details from these forms to ensure the government subsidy is applied. If you’re having trouble uploading the forms, feel free to talk to your physiotherapist for assistance or email the forms directly to them.
How to Pay if I have Private Health Insurance?
How to pay doesn’t change if you have private health insurance. You pay exactly the same way as mentioned above. However, after your telehealth session, your physiotherapist will send you an invoice. You can then submit this invoice through your insurer’s website or app to claim your rebate (don’t worry, for most insurers this process is really easy). However, it’s important to check if your insurer covers telehealth physiotherapy, as some may not provide rebates for this service. For a list of insurers that do or do not offer rebates for telehealth, you can refer to our blog post about telehealth physiotherapy.
Just remember, even if your insurance doesn’t offer rebates for telehealth, or if you don’t have private health insurance at all, our affordable prices ensure you get exceptional physiotherapy without breaking the bank. Here at EmbdyHealth, we believe that physio should be a necessity, not a luxury for those that can afford it, and for that reason, we will always offer world class physiotherapy for an affordable price.
What happens if I can’t make my appointment? Will I get a refund?
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled or canceled. At EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy, you will generally receive a full refund for cancellations. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, a late cancellation fee may be charged. This fee is at the discretion of your physiotherapist, who will consider your situation before making a decision. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out if you need to make changes to your booking.
What if I’m unhappy with my physiotherapy appointment?
Here at EmbdyHealth we know that you’re going to love your physiotherapy. If you don’t see any improvement after 3 sessions you get your money back. That is our guarantee to you that you will have a great time at EmbdyHealth Physiotherapy.
